KHAS Students are in the final of TEKNOFEST İzmir with “Tripy”

The Tripy team, formed by our students, made it to the finals in the Tourism Technologies category of the Pre-Take Off event to be organized within the scope of TEKNOFEST İzmir.

The “Tripy” idea, which was successful in the KHAS1724-S01-2022.2 Building Blocks of Entrepreneurship course, opened for the first time last semester within the scope of the Core Program and selected among the top three ideas by Inveo Ventures investors, belongs to our Computer Engineering student Mehmet Enes Oy. Other students on the team are Efe Tekin and Mehmet Ekin Ay from Computer Engineering, Zeren Safi from Advertising, and İrem Keser from Molecular Biology and Genetics.

The project, which came up in a casual conversation about COVID-19 and its effects, emerged as a software-based idea that could take advantage of the downturn in the tourism sector.

We congratulate our students who made it to the finals with Tripy, the “integrated” application idea, where adventurers can socialize, design their vacation packages, and list them on the marketplace.
